Free Pants Sewing Pattern | Elastic Pleated Pant Pattern | Crop Pant

This months free pattern is the Linen Crop Pant Pattern. We spent about a month making this free pants sewing pattern and would love for you to let us know how making it goes.

You can download it for free by adding to your cart and checking out (no card info required). And print it out at home, or at your local printer on 8.5 x 11" paper. This high waisted pant pattern, can be made as a crop pant, or as a long pant. It has pockets, and an elastic waistband in the back for size adjust-ability. 

This Sewing pant pattern is a easy beginner project, and has a nice tailored pant look in the front with the adjust-ability of an elastic waistband in the back. You can easily make it in a weekend, I think this took me around 5-6 hours total including a muslin mock up.

Our Pants Sewing Pattern Instructions:

We've provided video instructions with this pattern. Since we do not have written instructions at this time please refer to the YouTube Video link above to follow along with the video tutorial. 

🪡 To make your pant muslin:
- Cut 1 Waistband
- Cut 2 fronts and 2 back pant patterns, but only cut to a short length to save fabric. (make sure to ignore the pocket on the front and follow the lines to where they would meet without it.)
- Sew the front to back (21min), then sew the legs together (23 min)
- Then make the waistband (sew sides together then start at 24 min mark)
- and test your fit (9:55 min mark)

Materials Needed for the Crop Pant:

• 2.5 Yards of Fabric
• 1-1.25" of Elastic that is half your waistband size. (or slightly smaller)
• 2" strip of Interfacing for the front waistband (half your waistband size)
• Matching thread
• Scissors
• Sewing Machine, or Hand Sewing Kit
